September 2013. The objective of having the online magazine is to create a standard resource center for entrepreneurs to consume standard and quality business content from authors, bloggers, writers, professional, entrepreneurs, etc who will come together to share the best of business knowledge on this knowledge resource platform for entrepreneurs to make informed decisions in business.
The first Afripreneur blog came up in May 2011 and was shut down by December 2011 due to some issues. The second blog came up on January 25th, 2012 and was shut down again in January 2013 due to some constraints in resources. Based on a clamour for return by the group members of Afripreneur, it was revived back in September 2013 with an initial structure from Wale Olajumoke; and from November 2013, the Afripreneur team members took it up, made some changes and continued managing and growing it without any issue of shut down.
The blog has now been replaced with an online magazine which has a world-class look and feel. We have seen some of the top business and entrepreneurship online magazines around the world and we decided to give Afripreneurs a taste of that.
The new online magazine also included features that will allow "The Afripreneur" provide the needed business knowledge support entrepreneurs need based on our continuous interaction with them in over four years and the future.
