One week event paraded different professionals, information-technology ethusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors, celebrities, corporate organisations & brands, etc who all converged at the superb beach-front venue; the Landmark Center, Oniru, Victoria-Island, Lagos.
Afripreneur had its event, Social as a Strategy, Social Media as a Tool for the Social SME shortlisted among the about 140 events for the social media week Lagos 2015. Afripreneur's event which was assigned to the Masterclass was the most bookmarked event for the social media week Lagos 2015 as potential visitors found it to be the event to attend for businesses and entrepreneurs.
The February 24th, 2015 event started at exactly 5.00pm as the organisers kept to time to ensure a world-class experience in the worldclass event. The two speakers for the Afripreneur event were Segun Ogunlana and John Obidi who approached the event strategically.
Segun Ogunlana was the first to speak as he enlighted the audience in the Masterclass suite on the new social thinking, the features of social, how social has progressed from social network to social media, as well as the tools and thought process involved in implementing social in their businesses.
Segun Ogunlana later invited John Obidi who came up to share various social media tips and tools that entrepreneurs could use. John Obidi went further to engage the audience in a short question and answer session as a form of free consultation to their business problems.
Segun Ogunlana return backed to quickly share practical case studies of social strategy being used in business using Claire, Coca-Cola, Google and Afripreneur as examples.
The event came to an end with an audience that was well informed. Segun Ogunlana had a brief TV interview after the event, gave out his business cards, etc while John Obidi gave some people the chance to ask him questions as well as take awesome selfies.
